FAQ
IS Qwik Wick™ really different?
Yes. QWIK WICK™ has a unique 2 layer system versus most all so–called wicking brands which are simply one layer.
Aren’t most anti microbial clothing the same?
No. Most all use a chemical finish which is simply sprayed on the fabric. We use a recognized leader in this department with a product called A.M.Y. ™(Anti Microbiol Yarn) which is an ionized, silver yarn that is actually directly knitted into the heart of the textile. Look up UNIFI.com and read more on the A.M.Y. product.
Will the QWICK WICK™ and anti microbial features wash out?
No. Both are physical traits of the fabric and there for are physically not possible to wash out. Most other brands use chemicals for both supposed wicking properities and there anti microbial trait which are good for only so many washed. Please, read the care instructions on so called performance apparel. Notice they will read, “Do not bleach” and / or “Do not use fabric softener”. That is because bleach breaks down the chemical sprayed on the fabric and fabric softener clumps to it preventing them to work properly.
What is the best way to care for my QWIK WICK?
Cold water wash, hang dry for best results. QWIK WICK™ comes out of the spin cycle from the washing machine it will be virtually dry any way and should not need a drying machine. Bleach as much as you like. Fabric softener is fine to if you like. Do not iron or expose the garment to temps over 270 degrees Fahrenheit or it will melt. Generally speaking, the dryer is hard on clothing. Any of your finer / higher end , high performance pieces like QWIK WICK™ or things with lots of stretch like spandex which is made of a rubber band type of yarn should avoid the dyer for a longer life span. As you know, when a rubber band gets hot and dry it turns brittle. Loses its stretchiness and breaks down. All clothing yarns can be similar which is why things shrink in the dryer.
Missing your socks? That remains a mystery!
Is everything for sale QWIK WICK™ on this site?
Nope. We have different fabrics that do different things. Please read each category for detailed information.
